my approach

HOW I WORK & YOUR EXPERIENCE

PHOTOS OF HOW IT FELT, NOT JUST HOW IT LOOKED.

My aim is to capture all the moments of your day - the big, the small, the laughs, the tears, the dodgy dancing and everything in between. Put simply, I’ll have done my job right when you feel like you're reliving the day when you look at your photos, or someone who wasn’t there on the day feels like they were!

Creative, reportage, documentary, editorial, fine art - there are a number of different names for my style of photography, but I like to think my photography is a mix of all these. I have a non-traditional, alternative & relaxed take on wedding photography. I spend the day trying to be present, observant and capturing genuine, real moments without barking orders or dictating how the day goes.

How I Work

THE BIG & THE LITTLE THINGS

Of course I'll document the big moments and little details - the dress, the rings, the first kiss, the confetti toss, the cake cutting etc. After all, you've probably spent ages getting all the little details like the decor together so it deserves a photo or two! But my main focus and energy is taking photos of the little things that make your wedding unique - Dad's dodgy dance moves, you Nan doing shots at the bar with the groomsmen, the tears and giggles during the speeches. These are what makes your wedding YOURS.

from start to finish

From the moment I get to your wedding to the moment I leave (usually to go and get a Big Mac and Redbull for the drive home....) I am 1000% committed to you and making sure you get the best possible photos from your day. I will always have my camera to hand waiting for the next moment, hunting the best light and looking to capture all the little things that make your day unique. I do not work to a clock - I'll be there well into the dancing and evening shenanigans.

WILL YOU TRAVEL TO PHOTOGRAPH MY DESTINATION WEDDING?

ARE YOU INSURED?

YES! I love to travel, anywhere and everywhere, so please tell me all about your plans. I have photographed weddings in France & Greece so far and would love to continue my international wedding photography journey. In terms of costs, I only ask for economy flights and 2 nights accommodation.

I am insured with Public Liability & Professional Indemnity insurance, along with all of my equipment. If your venue need proof of this just let me know and I can send the relevant documents to them. If your wedding photographer isn't insured - run!

WHEN WILL I GET MY PHOTOS AFTER THE WEDDING DAY?

WHAT IF YOU'RE ILL ON THE DAY?

Touch wood, this hasn't happened to me so far but there's always a chance that somehow I may not be able to be at your wedding. In which case, I have a large network of emergency photographers who are very talented to fill in at the last minute if ever needed.

I will always send you a few highlights the day after your wedding so you have something to enjoy and share. I usually aim to have your photos with you within 4 weeks, but in busy wedding season (Spring/Summer) this may take up to 6 weeks.
